Our organisation, Wirambi Landcare, is a not-for-profit aimed at improving the health and condition of local ecosystems.
We will be working to rehabilitate nature reserves as well as conducting field surveys to gain further understanding of the ecosystem. Study of species such as bats and other threatened species will also be conducted to gain insight into their abundance and distribution as well as the environmental threats.
We will be working alongside the government and local councils to improve the environment and better understand it. We will also work with and engage local community groups, especially Friend Groups, to educate them about land care and help them to maintain and rehabilitate reserves.
We have a second business, Marlak Environmental Consultancy and Landcare Pty.Ltd that will be contracted to do consultancy work. This part of the business will compete for consultancy work and government tenders.
